Notes: Framboids and disseminated crystallites of FeS2 (pyrite, lower, and possible marcasite, center) in altered volcaniclastic sandstone. Through the petrographic microscope, framboids would appear as unitary opaque spheres, and crystallites as very fine opaque euhedra or gray cloudy masses. A small fibrous bundle of the zeolite mineral erionite is visible at center left.
