Notes: Titanium-bearing mineral phase from a late-Holocene dessication horizon in Medicine Lake, MT. The extreme relief and acute twinning angle are characteristic of Ti oxides. Specimens from this interval analyzed by energy-dispersive Xray spectrometry (EDX) show complex compositions suggesting titanite (CaTiSiO5) rather than rutile (TiO2).
